Cal Digital Group ("we", "us", "our") is a digital technology company based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. We build and operate WhatsApp-based customer engagement bots for small and medium businesses.
We operate as a registered Tech Provider on the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform. Our services enable businesses to automate customer communication including appointment booking, FAQ responses, and customer support.

Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our services — including our WhatsApp bot platform, website, and any related services — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
These terms apply to:
- Business clients who engage Cal Digital Group to build and operate WhatsApp bots on their behalf
- End users who interact with WhatsApp bots powered by Cal Digital Group on behalf of our clients
- Visitors to our website at caldigitalgroup.com
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Our Services
Cal Digital Group provides the following services to business clients:
- Design and development of WhatsApp automation bots
- AI-powered question answering using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Appointment booking and management via WhatsApp
- Appointment reminder notifications via approved WhatsApp message templates
- Human agent handoff and conversation monitoring via Chatwoot
- WhatsApp Business Account setup and management
- Ongoing maintenance, support, and bot updates
The specific services provided to each client are outlined in the individual service agreement between Cal Digital Group and that client.
Client Obligations
Business clients who engage our services agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete business information during onboarding
- Complete Meta Business Verification and maintain a valid WhatsApp Business Account
- Add their own payment method to their WhatsApp Business Account for Meta's messaging charges
- Ensure all content provided for the bot (services, FAQs, doctor details etc.) is accurate and up to date
- Not use our services to send spam, unsolicited messages, or any content that violates Meta's policies
- Notify us promptly of any changes to their business that affect the bot's content or functionality
- Maintain the confidentiality of any access credentials provided by us
- Comply with all applicable laws including data protection laws relevant to their customers
WhatsApp Platform Usage
Our services operate on the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform. Use of our services is subject to Meta's own terms and policies in addition to these terms:
We are not responsible for any changes Meta makes to the WhatsApp Business Platform, including changes to pricing, features, or policies, that may affect the functionality of our services.
Fees and Payment
Our service fees are agreed upon individually with each client before engagement. The following applies to all client agreements:
- A one-time setup fee is charged upon commencement of the engagement
- Monthly service fees are due on the agreed billing date each month
- Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Late payments may result in suspension of services
- We reserve the right to revise our fees with 30 days written notice
Meta's WhatsApp API usage charges (for business-initiated messages) are billed directly by Meta to the client and are not included in our service fees.
Intellectual Property
The bot platform, code, systems, and technology built by Cal Digital Group remain the intellectual property of Cal Digital Group. Clients receive a license to use the service during the term of their agreement.
Content provided by clients for use in the bot — such as business information, service lists, doctor details, and FAQs — remains the intellectual property of the client. By providing this content, clients grant Cal Digital Group a license to use it solely for the purpose of operating the bot service.
Upon termination of a client agreement, Cal Digital Group will remove the client's content from our systems within 30 days.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use our services to:
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or promotional content without user consent
- Harass, abuse, or harm any individual
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
- Distribute malicious content, malware, or phishing attempts
- Impersonate any person or business
- Collect user data beyond what is necessary to provide the service
- Use the service for any purpose that violates Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate our bot platform or technology
Violation of these prohibited uses may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
Disclaimers and Limitations
Specifically, we are not liable for:
- Service interruptions caused by Meta's WhatsApp platform outages or policy changes
- Inaccurate responses generated by the AI system based on content provided by clients
- Delays in message delivery caused by WhatsApp infrastructure
- Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services
Our total liability to any client shall not exceed the total fees paid by that client in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement with 30 days written notice. Cal Digital Group reserves the right to terminate services immediately without notice if:
- A client violates these Terms of Service or Meta's policies
- A client's WhatsApp Business Account is suspended or banned by Meta
- Payment is overdue by more than 30 days
- We determine continued service creates legal or reputational risk
Upon termination, client data will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
We will attempt to resolve any disputes informally before resorting to formal legal proceedings. If you have a dispute, please contact us first at info@caldigitalgroup.com.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify our business clients via email with at least 14 days notice before changes take effect.
Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
